Mike Grygiel was born at Ft Lewis, Washington. He spent his childhood as a military “Brat” and traveled across the country and Europe as his family was reassigned. He is a Graduate of West Point and M.I.T. and had a military career in the Corps of Engineers.
A self taught artist he became interested in marine art while serving in Panama which provided a wealth of material. His work has been exhibited nationally. He lives with his wife in Richland, WA and is a member of ASMA, the Coast Guard Art Program and the PSGNWA.
